<div itemprop="description">FILLMORE...... <br> <br>Violet Winnifred Fillmore, age 92, of Brooklyn and Windsor, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. <br> <br>Born on December 30, 1923, in Martock, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late John Reginald Smith and Florence Helena (Brown) Smith. <br> <br>Violet graduated in 1945, with her RN, from the Payzant Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Newport United Church and the U.C.W. for many years. Violet was an avid collector of Teddy Bears. <br> <br>She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Doug) Allan, Dartmouth; granddaughter, Jennifer Lloyd (Barry); great grandson, Evan Lloyd; sister, Ella (James) Markham, Santa Barbara, CA; brother, Arnie Smith, Currys Corner, several nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Harvey Fillmore (2009); brothers, John “Jack”, Ken, Henry and twins, Ronnie and Donald; sister Margaret Boyd. <br> <br>Special thanks to Fundyview 3, Windsor Elms, and to the staff of Gladys Manning for their wonderful care given to Violet, for the last six years. <br> <br>Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0, with Rev. Kevin Cox and Rev. John Boyd officiating. Private family interment in the Riverview Haven Cemetery, Union Corner, along with her husband Don. <br> <br>Family flowers only.
