<div itemprop="description">LEDSON...... <br> <br>Robert Wayne Ledson, 70 age, of Brooklyn, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with his family by his side. <br> <br>Born on March 24, 1946, in Toronto, he was the son of the late Robert and Vilinda (Swinamer) Ledson. <br> <br>Wayne in his early years, worked at Etter’s Lumber Mill, CNR Railway and spent over 30 years with the Halifax Fire Department. Wayne was an avid horseman all of his life, and was well known at the Exhibition’s throughout the Maritimes with his horses Stettler and Navajo Joe. <br> <br>Wayne was the father of Robert (Adele); Ken (Annette) and Jeremy (Heather); grampy to Olivia, Mitchell, Claudia, Drake, Austin, Emma; brother to Donna (Roy) Steele and Rosalind Ledson Ulla (Tom); niece, Heidi; nephews, Mark, Michael, Josh and Tor; special friend and partner, Linda Reardon. <br> <br>Visitation will be held 6–9 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 902-798-2232, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. <br> <br>Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Elizabeth Johnson officiating, followed by a reception, then interment at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Brooklyn, Hants County. <br> <br>Donations in memory of Wayne, may be made to Avon Pony Club or the Brooklyn Fire Department. <br> <br>"Add your condolences, click on contribute" <br> <br></div>
