<div itemprop="description">BROWN...... <br /> <br />Robert &ldquo;Bob&rdquo; Murray Brown, age 84, of Windsor, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with his family by his side. <br /> <br />Born on March 11, 1931, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Allan and Mary (Swinamer) Brown. <br /> <br />Bob worked in Halifax for a number of years installing high-rise billboards before he joined the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board, working as a janitor at the Windsor Elementary School until his retirement. He enjoyed his sports and spending time with family. <br /> <br />Surviving are his children, Sharon White (Ken Sears); Gary (Linda) Brown; Robert &ldquo;Bobby&rdquo; (Heather) Brown; Debbie (Avery) Aker, all of Windsor; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; companion, Christine Brown, Windsor; sister, Dorothy &ldquo;Dot&rdquo; Patton, Windsor; several nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />Bob was predeceased by his wife, Muriel (2002); brothers, Earl and William &ldquo;Bill&rdquo; Brown; sisters, Jean Pemberton, Elsie Benedict and Ruth Boutilier. <br /> <br />Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2016, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. <br /> <br />Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Craig Faulkner officiating. A private family interment will take place in the Oakhill Cemetery, Ellershouse. <br /> <br />Donations in Bob&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. <br /> <br />On-line condolences may be sent by clicking on Contribute. <br /></div>
