<div itemprop="description">DOBSON...... <br /> <br />Joseph James &ldquo;Joe&rdquo; Dobson, age 88, of Windsor, passed away on Sunday, January 5th, 2014, at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. <br /> <br />Born on December 24th, 1925, in Liverpool, England, Joe was a Production Manager at the Nova Scotia Textiles, where he worked for 34 years, until his retirement. At the age of 14, he worked as a Locomotive Fireman for the London Midlander System (L.M.S.). In 1952 he joined the Canadian Army 48th, Highlanders, 27th, Brigade and then on disbandment transferred to the Black Watch in 1952, while going from Quebec to Germany. He was a member for 53 years, of the Royal Canadian Legion, Hants County Branch No.009. <br /> <br />Joe is survived by daughters, Sylvia Dobson, New Minas; Vanessa Dobson, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Anthony Everson, Lockhartville; Chelsea Dobson, Toronto; Alex Dobson, Texas; great grandchildren, Jeremy Upshaw and Cole Everson. <br /> <br />He was predeceased by his sons, Robert (Bobby) Dobson and Alex Dobson; grandson, Gary Everson. <br /> <br />Hants County Branch No. 009, will hold a Legion Tribute, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 9th, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor, followed by visitation until 9 p.m. <br /> <br />Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, January 10th, 2014, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tim Archibald officiating.
