<div itemprop="description">Ilene Winona Lowthers, age 88 of Three Mile Plains, Hants County, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 in the Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born on April 23, 1928 in Scotch Village, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Loren Macumber and Mabel (Collard) (Macumber) Parker. <br> <br>In earlier years Ilene worked at the Nova Scotia Textiles; she also worked in the kitchen at the Payzant Memorial Hospital; after that she did housework for various families along with being a full time wife and mother to her family. Ilene loved music, dancing, social events and gatherings. <br> <br>Surviving are sons, Ken (Susan), Three Mile Plains; David (Patty), Newport Station; daughters, Betty (Eric) Johnson, Windsor; Doreen (John) Cole, Morton, Kings County; Donna (Jim) Thibodeau, Upper Sackville; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; half-brother, Owen Parker, Scotch Village; sister-in-law, Rosalie Macumber, Windsor. <br> <br>Predeceased by her husband, Murray; son, Donald “Donnie”; sisters, Violet (age 6); Dorothy “Dot” Dillman; brothers, Howard, Ralph, Robert “Bob”, Alvin; step-father, Frank Parker. <br> <br>Visitation will be 6-8 Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in the Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. <br> <br>Memorial service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, Windsor, with Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Ste.
