<div itemprop="description">HILTZ...... <br> <br>Dale Gordon Hiltz, age 73, of Bishopville, Hants County, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at his home, with his family by his side. <br> <br>Born on September 1, 1943, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late March and Nancy (Spinney) Hiltz. <br> <br>Dale worked at the Pulp Mill & CKF Inc. and turned his life to carpentry at the age 31. His love of hunting and fishing gave him many hours of enjoyment over the years, he has told us that he has taken 60 or more deer in his lifetime. Dale was a quiet man, who left a lasting impression on those he touched through his love of family and extended family from the many bluegrass festivals and jobs he worked. Dale was a wonderful father and Papa and could be counted on to be there whenever a helping hand or ear was needed and never wanted to be a burden to anyone. <br> <br>Dale is survived by his children, Lori Whynot (Gary Murphy), Dartmouth; Stephen (Jody) Hiltz, Grande Prairie, Alberta; grandchildren, Brandon Hiltz (Taylor Ulrich), Edmonton, Alberta; Blake Whynot, Dartmouth; Reghan Hiltz, New Minas; companion, Claire Frizzle, Hantsport; siblings, Laurie (Irene) Hiltz, Bedford; Betty (Graham) Williams, Sydney; Gerry, (Dorothy) Hiltz, Glenmont; Pat (Byron) Mullett, Dartmouth; Randy Hiltz (Sharon McInnis), New Minas. <br> <br>Besides parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Cheryl Lynn Harvie (2008); brother, Lionel Hiltz (1979). <br> <br>The family wish to express a sincere thank you to the V.O.N. and Palliative Care Team for all their support. <br> <br>A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016, at the Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, with the Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating, followed by a gathering for family and friends at 2540 Bishopville Road. All Welcome. <br> <br>Arrangements are under the care of Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O.
