Abbie Loy Harvie, age 62, of Sweets Corner/Falmouth, Hants County, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, after a hard fought but short battle with cancer.
Born on October 26, 1954, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late David and Verna (Harvey) White.
Abbie worked for Metro Community Housing Association, for 15 years as a Residential Counsellor.
Abbie is survived by her children, David (Tammy), Kennetcook; Amanda (Tim), Sweets Corner; 4 grandchildren, Reese, Kyle, Kadin and Mylee; former husband, Bobby; sister, Corina McCulloch, Kennetcook; brother, Trent White (Jean), Kennetcook; two nieces. She is also survived by several special friends she considered family.
Besides her parents, David and Verna (Harvey) White; she was predeceased by her brother, Marty.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King St., P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0.
A Celebration of Abbie’s Life, will be held at a later date.
Donations in her memory, may be made to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
