<div itemprop="description">DUNLOP...... <br> <br>Sylvia Gertrude Dunlop, age 85, of Peggy’s Cove, Halifax County, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth, where she resided for the last 4 years. <br> <br>Born on December 30, 1930, in Peggy’s Cove, to the late James and Amy (Manuel) Manuel. <br> <br>She was most known for the love of her cats and the enjoyment of the Driftwood Gift Shop in Peggy’s Cove for over 20 years. While she stayed at the Windsor Elms she enjoyed knitting and taking part of the activities provided at the Elms. The children will remember her for the knitted Barbie outfits. <br> <br>Sylvia is survived by her children, Dean (Theresa), Chester; Joan Covey, Timberlea; Elizabeth (George) Dockendorff, Upper Tantallion; Tammy (Martin) Dunlop-Caya, Hatchet Lake; 8 grandchildren, Shayne Covey; Dawson Wambolt; Jacquelyn Wambolt; Jenna, Hollie, and Katrina Dockendorff; Jillian and Gabrielle Caya. <br> <br>Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Raymond Harris Dunlop; brother, Wilfred Manuel; sister, Josephine Coolen; <br> <br>We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers at the Windsor Elms for the loving care they provided to our mom. <br> <br>A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0, with Archdeacon Glenn Eason officiating.
