<div itemprop="description">HART...... <br> <br>Roy Freeman Hart, age 79, passed away Friday May 27, 2016 at the Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, Hants County. Born on June 9, 1936, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Freeman and Elva (Wile) Hart. <br> <br>Roy worked for 30 years in Halifax as a Heavy Equipment operator for various companies, L.W. Allen, Bernard Fancy and L. B. Stevens. Hank Williams was his idol, he enjoyed singing his songs with friends, and travelled with Bernice to Montgomery, Alabama, to visit Hank’s monument and grave site. Roy loved his children very much and was grateful for all they did for him. <br> <br>Roy is survived by his wife of 38 years, the former Bernice Skipper; children, Larry, Vaughan; Wade (Christine), Vaughan; Arlene (Curtis Spencer), Vaughan; Dwight (Theresa) Skipper, Falls Lake West; Ollie (Albert) Skipper, Rawdon; Donna Sherman, Vaughan; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; son-in-law, Blaine Rafuse. <br> <br>Roy was predeceased by daughters, Lorraine Hart, and Elaine Rafuse; brothers, Cecil, John, and Creighton; sisters, Marie Geddes, Jean Sherman, Yvonne Hart, and Niomi Wile; son-in-law, Howard Sherman; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Allen. <br> <br>Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2016, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P. O. Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. <br> <br>Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2016, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kayla Colford officiating. <br> <br>Interment in the Vaughan Community Cemetery. <br> <br>Donations in memory of Roy may be made to South Hants West Fire Department or Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. <br> <br> (To add your condolence go click on “contribute” ) <br> <br> <br> <br></div>
