<div itemprop="description">STATES...... <br> <br>Percy Stephen States, age 71, of Three Mile Plains, Hants County, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with his wife by his side. <br> <br>Born in Mount Denson, Hants County, Nova Scotia, on January 21, 1945, he was the son of the late Russell and Elta (States) States. <br> <br>Percy was an independent Carpenter. He had a love of country music and played in several Hants County bands, playing throughout Nova Scotia. He had a great love for his wife Betty, his grandchildren and all his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. <br> <br>Percy is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Betty Pauline States; stepson, Derrick (Bev) States, Montreal, Queebec; step daughters, Cindy (Shawn) Walsh, Eastern Passage; Pauline (Gordon) Byard, Dartmouth; brothers, James, Toronto, Ontario; Frederick (Yvonne), Newport Station; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Wendell; sisters, Hazel Bush, Marjorie MacDonald, Minnie James, and Gwendolyn States; brothers, Laurie, Jack, Allan, Delbert, Arnold, Lornton, Lamont, David, George and Brian States. <br> <br>Visitations will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, November 4, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0. <br> <br>Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Galvin Simmonds officiating.
