<div itemprop="description">KERR...... <br /> <br />Mary Georgina &ldquo;Betty&rdquo; Kerr, of Brooklyn, Hants County, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by her family, three days short of her 93rd, birthday. <br /> <br />Born on December 29, 1922, in St. John&rsquo;s, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Hebert and Clara (Rogers) Wheeler. <br /> <br />Betty was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Windsor. She was well known for knitting wool socks for those she loved. <br /> <br />She is survived by daughters, Mary Lou (Keith) Swantee, Sundridge, Pictou Co.; Clare Ann, Lantz; sons, John (Ann), Waterford, Ontario; James (Lalia), Three Mile Plains; Michael, at home; grandchildren, Catherine Falconer (Dewayne), Thomas &ldquo;Tom&rdquo; MacCormick (Renee), Andrea Roadhouse (Jay), Heather Kerr (Michael Dufour), Andrew Kerr (Valmai Goggin), Jacqueline Kerr (Sean McGee), Danielle Kerr (Andy Wesley), Stephen Kerr (Janessa) and Jamie Kerr (Matthew Smith); many great-grandchildren, Nick and Matthew Falconer; Steven and Ian MacCormack; Kane, Zoe and Austin Roadhouse; Jacob, Luke and Hannah McGee; family friend, Pat MacCormack, Pictou. <br /> <br />Claire&rsquo;s dogs, Jack and Maisie, will miss her love and treats. <br /> <br />Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Maxwell Kerr (1989); sister, Louise MacCarthy; brother, Clarence Wheeler; and an infant brother. <br /> <br />Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Windsor, B0N 2T0. <br /> <br />Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, in Lindsay`s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Father John MacPherson officiating.
