<div itemprop="description">LOWTHERS...... <br /> <br />Mabel Elaine Lowthers (nee: Harvey) ~ age 74, of Hantsport, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, New Brunswick, with her loving family by her side. <br /> <br />Born in Sweets Corner, Hants County, Nova Scotia, on April 11, 1941, Mabel was the daughter of Gerald and Louise (Dykens) Harvey. <br /> <br />She is survived by son, Barrie (Pamela) Lowthers, Fredericton; daughter, Shelley (Doug) Garland, Lockhartville; granddaughters, Courtney Garland; Olivia, Faith and Emma Lowthers; sister, Leola Cochrane, Windsor; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. <br /> <br />In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Gordon (2013); brothers, Herman, Rolie, Billy, Raymond, Herbie, and Norman Harvey; sisters, Vera Phillips and Helen Boyd. <br /> <br />Mabel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and no guest left her house hungry. She worked outside the home as well. Many will remember her from the Cameron&rsquo;s/Anstrum&rsquo;s fruit stand, where she was a mainstay for several years. Her favorite job, however, was raising her two children and having a part in caring for her four granddaughters. Nannie was always ready for a round of crib, snakes and ladders or crazy eights. Those who knew Mabel well admired her quiet strength, steadfast loyalty, kind heart and gentle soul. <br /> <br />Funeral service to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. <br /> <br />Reception to follow at the Lindsay Family Reception Centre, 184 King Street. Burial service will be held for the family in the Ste. Croix Cemetery, Cemetery Road, St. Croix, Hants County, directly following the reception. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mabel to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation &ndash; Respiratory Team or the Hants County Branch of the SPCA. <br /> <br />To add your condolences, click on Contribute. <br /> <br /></div>
