<div itemprop="description">Kathryn Anne “Kathy” Wade, 72, of Barrie, Ontario formerly of Hantsport, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2016. She was the daughter of the late, Bernard “Bun” and Jennie (Rushton) McDonald. <br> <br>Kathy and Jerry belonged to the Canadian Rose Society and on July 1st every year she and her husband Jerry opened up their home and gardens for everyone to come and have a cup of tea and walk through their extensive beautiful rose gardens. She and Jerry had a great love for Collies. Kathy loved her worked at Base Borden and made friends with her co-workers and the clients she served. She will be remembered for her loving personality and wonderful sense of humor. You are at peace in God’s love as your faith was always constant throughout your life. We are blessed to have had you in our lives and the wonderful memories you left us will carry us through. <br> <br>Surviving are her loving husband of 52 years, Gerald “Jerry”; daughter, Tanya (Casio) Wade-Vargas, Miami, Florida; grandchildren, C.J. and Jessica; brothers, Spike (Mariane) McDonald, Hantsport; Tack (Susan) McDonald, Hantsport; sisters, Jan (Pony) Poulin, Hantsport; Karen (Pat) Lydiard, Mount Uniacke; Sandra (Andy) Honl, Hawaii; nieces and nephews. <br> <br>A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Riverbank Cemetery in Hantsport. <br> <br>Donations in memory of Kathy may be made to the Hants County Branch SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society. <br> <br>Arrangements are under the care of the Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, P.O.
