<div itemprop="description">LOWE…… <br> <br>Kathleen Marie Lowe, age 91, of South Rawdon, Hants County, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, surrounded by her family. <br> <br>Born on April 11, 1925, in Wentworth Creek, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hannah (Seary) Ward. <br> <br>Kathleen was a lifelong homemaker, and was known for her baking abilities. She was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was known as Nanny Lowe, by people and children in her community. She was a devoted parishioner of the Rawdon Hills United Church where she will be sadly missed. One of her biggest triumphs was raising her 12 children. <br> <br>Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Gail (Sidney) Aker, Calgary, Alta.; Marilyn (Wayne) Haley, South Rawdon; Carolyn (Wayne) Weir, Centre Rawdon; Susan (Vernon) Leighton, South Rawdon; Cathy (Mark) Church, Windsor; Jackie (James) Wile, West Gore; her sons, James (Beverly) Young, Perry (Michelle) Lowe, Bobby (Sharon) Lowe, Jerry Lowe (Pam), South Rawdon; Terry Lowe (Sherri), Windsor; step son, Gerald (Rose) Wright, Shouffville Ontario; brother, Bill (Leona) Ward, Stanley; half sisters, Jessie (Oscar) Langdon, Hantsport; 26 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a special great granddaughter, Gracie Kathleen Aubrey. She enjoyed Gracie doing her nails and having tea parties; many nieces and nephews; close friends, Helen Campbell and Edna Goodall for all they have done over the years. <br> <br>Special thanks to all the Homecare and V.O.N. staff that really brightened up her days, also to Dr. Cathryn Smith and the Dykeland Lodge, for their care of Kathleen. <br> <br>Besides her parents, Joseph and Hannah (Seary) Ward; Kathleen was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Aubrey Avon “Bob” Lowe; her first husband, William “Bill” Young; son, Owen Hudson Young; her twin sister, Madeline Murphy; also sisters, Geraldine Brooks; Josephine Hatt; Edith Haley; Dorothy Elliott, Jean Arenburg, and Annie DellaTorre; brothers, Carmen, Cecil, Carl, Earl “Pat”, George, Roy and Claude Ward; Kathleen was also predeceased by her canine friend, her cat Babes. <br> <br>Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 17, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. <br> <br>Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ian MacDonald officiating, followed by a reception at the funeral home.
