<div itemprop="description">DILL...... <br /> <br />Dill, Gary Edward, age 65, Falmouth, formerly of Windsor, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. <br /> <br />Born on March 26, 1950, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late John and Melda (Millett) Dill of Windsor. <br /> <br />Gary was employed with Nova Scotia Power Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 2001 as a linesman. He sold produce for many years, with the last 16 years selling in Spryfield, where he had also sold Christmas trees. Gary had a pig racing show for Atlantic Lotto, called Dill&rsquo;s Racing Pigs. His first love was always harness racing, having raced several horses of his own over the years. He was involved with &lsquo;4H&rsquo; throughout his early years while living at home on the family farm in Windsor. When he was younger, he played hockey for the Windsor Royals for several years. <br /> <br />Gary was a member of the Windsor Lions Club and had two very successful fund raisers in recent years. He was President of the Heritage Classic Beef Committee that held a well attended beef show at the 250th, Anniversary of the Hants County Exhibition. Gary always said that he had attended the 200th Anniversary and wanted to participate in the 250th Anniversary and he proudly did this past weekend. <br /> <br />Gary is survived by sisters, Ellen (Robert) Miller, Windsor; Geraldine Smith of Musquodoboit Harbour; and by several nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place, under the care of Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. <br /> <br />There will be no visitation by request. <br /> <br />Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. <br /> <br />When the family returns from their private graveside committal at the Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King Street, Windsor, a reception will be held at the funeral home. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice. <br /> <br />To add your condolences, click on &ldquo;Contribute&rdquo;. <br /> <br /> <br /></div>
