
Terry Harold Swinamer , age 52, of Wile Settlement, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at his home, Wile Settlement.
Born on December 29, 1960 in Windsor, he was the son of Shirley (Hartt) Swinamer, Windsor, and the late Leslie “King” Swinamer.
Terry owned and operated Swinamer’s Towing for over twenty years having started in 1980. He enjoyed meeting and helping everyone he could as he had a heart of gold. He owned and operated Swinamer’s Scrap Metal for the last seven years where he enjoyed working in his shop. He loved taking his grandchildren who meant the world to him for drives on the Kubota to feed the ducks. Terry endured congestive heart failure for over twenty years and during this time he fought to remain strong for his family.
Surviving are his wife the former, Sandra Edwards; sons, Matthew (Ashley) Swinamer, Three Mile Plains; Tim Muir (Elaine Aalders), Three Mile Plains; daughters, Heather (Jimmy) Macumber, Three Mile Plains; Michelle Muir (Gary Underwood), Ardoise; grandchildren, Madison Swinamer, Logan Swinamer, Tyler Muir, Branden Muir, Evan Macumber, Lukas Underwood, Grayson Underwood; mother, Shirley (Hartt) Swinamer, Windsor; grandmother, Winnie Hartt, Ellershouse; brothers, Brian (Connie), Ellershouse; Donnie (Wendy), Three Mile Plains; sisters, Janet (Jeff) Ettinger, Provost, Alberta; Connie (Mike) Trider, Three Mile Plains; Melda Swinamer (George), Edmonton, Alberta; special nephews, Mike (Stacey) Swinamer, Alberta; Corey Swinamer (Chantal Jodouin), Alberta; Dana Ettinger, Alberta; BJ Trider, Three Mile Plains; Greg, Chesley & Ryan Swinamer; nieces, Miranda and Jenna Swinamer; mother and father-in-law, Wilfred and Barb Edwards, Newport Station; sister-in-law, Susan Goalen, Red Deer, Alberta.
Predeceased by his father, Leslie “King” Swinamer and his paternal grandfather, Abner “Ab” Hartt; maternal grandparents, Tom & Gladys Swinamer; uncles, Ronnie, Lester and Reid Hartt.

Visitation will be 7-9 pm Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street Windsor.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Gibson & Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Interment will be held in the Ste. Croix Cemetery, Cemetery Road, St. Croix.
Flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
