<div itemprop="description">GUILD…… <br> <br>“Scotty” George Edward Guild, age 71, of Grand Pré, Kings County / Ellershouse, Hants County, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, surrounded by family. <br> <br>Born on September 4, 1945, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Margaret “Peggy” (Imrie), Windsor and the late John “Jack” Guild. <br> <br>Surviving besides his mother, is his wife of 49 years, the former Patricia “Pat” Helen Fader; sons, Scott (Nicole), Ottawa, Ontario; Tony (Lisa), Falmouth; Peter (Tracy), Nanaimo, British Columbia; granddaughters, Kiersten and Haley; sisters, Sheila (Garfield) Langille, White Rock; Phyllis Phillips, Gypsum Mines; and Linda (John) McDougall, Blackfalds, Alberta; as well as a large extended family. <br> <br>Scotty had a long career as a professional driver, delivering fuel with Brown’s, Gulf and Ultramar, cargo with Thompson’s Transfer, and precious cargo with the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board. <br> <br>Upon retirement the driving continued with long hauls to and from Florida for their annual winter escape which they very much enjoyed. Scotty truly loved the friendships made both at Evangeline Beach and Romany Park, where he delighted in lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. <br> <br>The family would like to thank the first responders for their efforts and the staff at the Valley Regional Hospital for their wonderful support. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Scotty may be made to Valley Regional Hospital. <br> <br>A celebration of Scotty’s life will be held on Saturday September 24, 2016 at the Evangeline Beach Recreation Hall, beginning at 2 pm. <br> <br>Add your condolences, click on “Contribute at, www.lindsaysfuneralhome.com <br> <br></div>
