<div itemprop="description">ZWICKER...... <br /> <br />Sandra Lucille Zwicker, 67, of Newport, Hants County. <br /> <br />It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Sandra Lucille (Hines) Zwicker, on Saturday, May 3, 2014, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born on October 8, 1946 in Windsor, Hants County, she was the eldest daughter of the late Otis and Leah (Keddy) Hines formerly of Brooklyn, Hants County. <br /> <br />Sandra grew up in the village of Brooklyn, and enjoyed life on the farm. It is there that she found her passion for working with animals and gardening. Over the years, Sandra continued gardening and won several awards for her beautiful arrangements and cut flowers at the Hants County Exhibition. Sandra also enjoyed painting and spending time with family and friends at the cottage. Family birthdays and holidays were always made special by her wonderful baking and sweet treats. Sandra gave back to the community through her years of involvement in numerous non-profit organizations and always was but a phone call away to help anyone in need of support. <br /> <br />She is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Keith Zwicker, McKay Section; daughter, Stephanie (Kevin) Greenwood, Brooklyn; sister, Marie (Charles) Harvey, Brooklyn; and brother, Richard (Mariam) River John. She will be greatly missed by her only grandchild, Leah Greenwood, Brooklyn; several cousins, nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Windsor. <br /> <br />Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. E. E. Hill officiating. Interment will be in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Brooklyn. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandra&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Cancer Society. <br /> <br />(To add you condolence click on &quot;contribute&quot;) <br /> <br /></div>
