Russell Howard Hebb, age 89, of Leminster, Hants County, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at home.
Born in Leminster, Hants County, Nova Scotia, on September 18, 1925, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Marjorie (Mahoney) Hebb.
Russell was a woodsman, farmer and craftsman, working most of his life in the woods. He enjoyed his animals, especially horses.
Russell is survived by brothers, Laurie Hebb, Weston; Lester (Nancy) Hebb, Truro; Francis (Jean) Hebb, Aylesford; sister, Eleanor Redden, Martock; sisters-in-law, Doris Hebb, Billtown; Carlene Hebb, Bishopville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Wilfred and Marjorie (Mahoney) Hebb; Russell was predeceased by brothers, Melvin Hebb and Gordon Hebb; sister, Helen Hebb.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014, in the Vaughans United Church, New Ross Road, Lower Vaughans, with Craig Faulkner officiating. Interment in the Vaughans United Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Russell may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
