<div itemprop="description">CROSBY, MARY RUTH.... <br> <br>Of Wolfville, NS, passed away peacefully, surrounded by Family, on July 6, 2016. Born in Yarmouth on June 10th, 1956, Mary Ruth was the daughter of the late Paul and Thelma (Cook) Crosby of Ottawa. Mary Ruth is greatly missed by the loves of her life, her daughter, Lenore Crosby-Smith and son Angus Crosby-Smith, Wolfville. <br> <br>Mary Ruth lived and worked in Halifax, Vancouver, Ottawa and Wolfville. She studied Culinary, Paralegal, and was a Personal Care Worker. She worked at various jobs over the years, in Restaurants, the Bank of Canada, home care and at Pete’s until she was struck with a devastating illness, Pulmonary Fibrosis. Mary Ruth was a member of several community groups and Wolfville Baptist Church. She loved to read, knit, cook and spend time with people. She was always warm and welcoming and enjoyed a good political debate. She had strong opinions and was not afraid to state them. She cared greatly for those who suffered injustices and for those who felt left out or misunderstood. She was a good friend to many. MR had a great sense of humour and a strong faith which enabled her to face life’s challenges with courage, hope and joy. <br> <br>Mary Ruth is survived by her sister, Sandi Bain-Forsyth (Doug), Ottawa, and brothers, Mark Crosby (Beth), Wolfville and Laurie Crosby, Halifax. She also has many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. <br> <br>She was predeceased by her sister, Marti Wilson and her brothers, Paul (Dora), Gordon, Bert, Jon, Foster, Ernest (Luella) and nephew, Paul Evan. <br> <br>A celebration of her life will take place at Wolfville Baptist Church, the corner of Main & Highland in Wolfville on Tuesday, July 12th at 2:00 PM, with Dr. Barry Morrison officiating and music provided by Dr. Heather Price. <br> <br>There will be a reception following the service, provided by the Social & Benevolent Society of WBC. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association of NS or Wolfville Baptist Church. <br> <br>(To add your condolence click on "contribute") <br> <br></div>
