<div itemprop="description">UPSHAW...... <br> <br>Levi Cecil Upshaw, age 90 of Panuke Road, Three Mile Plains, Hants County. It is with heavy hearts we the family of Levi Upshaw announce that he passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday August 20, 2016. He was born on November 6, 1925, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, and Levi was the son of the late Robert and Lena (Hartley) Upshaw. <br> <br>He worked several years for J. W. Lindsay Construction and Fundy Gypsum Company. Levi enjoyed bingo in his day, he enjoyed travelling to Vancouver, and visiting his daughters. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends; having a glass of wine and singing “They're Gonna Put Me in the Movies”. <br> <br>Levi was the last surviving member of his immediate family. <br> <br>He is survived by daughters, Delphina of Windsor, Deborah (Greg) of Bedford, Charmaine (Richard) of Halifax, Elizabeth (Vince) of Windsor; sons, Bell (Violet) of New Minas, Bruce of Edmonton; Oliver (Caroline) of Vancouver who he raised as a son. Levi is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty eight great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Besides his parents Levi was predeceased by his brothers, Clinton, Robert, Chester, Vincent, Walter, Gilbert and Andrew in infancy; three great- grandchildren. <br> <br>A private family committal service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 in the Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King Street, Windsor, with Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. <br> <br>A public celebration of Levi’s life will follow at his residence and everyone is invited to come and help celebrate. <br> <br>Special thanks to granddaughter, Atara for being there for him the last several months and also a special thanks to anyone we may have forgotten to mention. <br> <br>Arrangements under the care and direction of Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King St., P.O.
