Junior Augustus Moore, age 71, of Hantsport, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor.
Born on June 14, 1945, in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Augustus and Dorothy (Wilcox) Moore.
He worked for over 41 years, at Minas Basin Pulp & Power Co. Ltd., Hantsport, retired in 2003. Junior was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Junior is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Edna Charlotte Mary Spencer; children, Tanya, Hantsport; Dara (Juan) Ramirez, Wolfville; grandchildren, Kayla, Chelsea, and Brandon Davis; Orlando, Milena, Juan Pablo, and Kiara Ramirez; siblings, Phyllis (Duckie) Schofield, Hantsport; Carolyn Vaughan, Kentville; Douglas (Marilyn) Moore, Kentville; sister-in-law, Cora Spencer, Hantsport; Aunt Fanny Moore, Haliburton Place, Windsor; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Augustus and Dorothy (Wilcox) Moore; he was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Cyril Vaughan and Ernie Spencer.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, with the Rev. Heather Card officiating, followed by a reception at the Hantsport Fire Hall, 5 Oak Street, Hantsport.
Family flowers only, donations in memory of Junior may be made to the Palliative Care, Hants Community Hospital, 89 Payzant Drive, Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0.
