<div itemprop="description">MUIR...... <br> <br>Julia "Julie" Elizabeth Jean (Lunn) Muir, RN - was born in Newport Station, Hants County, Nova Scotia, on October 16, 1924 (not 1925 as she liked to tell people) and was the daughter of Sidney and Jessie (Baxter) Lunn. <br> <br>She graduated from the Aberdeen School of Nursing in 1946 and practiced her profession in the Windsor area, ending her career as Dr. G.W. Turner's office nurse. <br> <br>Julie lived all of her married life in Windsor where she and Grant enjoyed the many lifelong friends they made through the Windsor Gyro Club. Grant and Julie's home on King Street was always open to friends and family alike. <br> <br>Julie is survived by her daughter, Christine Casey, Bedford; son, Stephen (Linda) Muir, Garlands Crossing; brother, Earl Lunn, Moncton, New Brunswick; sister-in-law, Dorothy Cameron, Dryden, Ontario; brother-in-law, Donald (June) Muir, Truro. She was much loved by her four grandsons, Sean Casey, Halifax; Scott Muir, Nanaimo, British Columbia; Ryan Muir, Surrey, British Columbia; and Nathan Muir, Pickering, Ontario; and her seven great grandchildren with the eighth due on her birthday. <br> <br>For the past three years she has been a resident of Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, where she passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016. <br> <br>At Julie's request there will be no funeral service. <br> <br>Family prayers will be held when her ashes are buried next to Grant, at the Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King Street, Windsor, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, with the Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. A reception will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Annex of Windsor United Church, 613 King Street, Windsor. <br> <br>Donations in memory may be made to your local SPCA or the charity of your choice. <br> <br>To add your condolences, click on Contribute. <br></div>
