GRAHAM <br />June 13, 1953 &ndash; January 13, 2016 <br /> <br />Heather Elyse Graham, age 62, of Hammond Plains, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at home. <br /> <br />Born in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, Heather was the daughter of Roberta Muriel (Wile) Graham, Halifax and the late Harold Frank Graham. <br /> <br />Heather graduated from Dartmouth High and earned her papers as a Certified Nursing Assistant. As well as freelance modeling and working in the Dalhousie Library she spent many years in service with the more interesting night spots in Halifax including Pepe's Restaurant and Jazz Club, Privateer&rsquo;s the Upper Deck, LaScala and DJ&rsquo;s Tannery. It was in her later years in telecommunications where she really excelled, at Sprint and winning the President&rsquo;s Award with AT&amp;T. She loved volunteering at Northwood Ivany Place in Bedford, gardening, skating, tennis, history and made it a lifelong pursuit to surround herself with the love of family and friends and lovely things. In particular her love of animals extended not only to her dogs, Teddy (deceased), Tiggy, and Ripley the Rescue dog, but to all animals in general. <br /> <br />Heather made loving and lifelong relationships where-ever she was, including The Can Gang from early days spent in Germany&rsquo;s Blackforest to her recent history class. She is remembered by family and friends as a stunningly beautiful, caring, well-loved person with a brilliant wit and sense of humour. <br /> <br />Heather is survived by her mother, Roberta Muriel (Wile) Graham of Halifax; her husband Roland Spithoven, Tantallon; son Amos (Christy) Westropp, Whitehorse and two grandchildren, Hayden and Mya; stepson Taylor Cook, New Minas; sister Wanda (Adrian Hoffman) Graham, Sambro; brother Steven Graham, Halifax; half-brother Allison (Shirley Lowe) Murphy, Grand Desert; nieces and nephews Cynthia (Geoffrey) Caswell-Murphy, Edmonton, Daun Martin, Lawrencetown; Tristan and Kaedin Hoffman, New York; Sylvaine, Colkitto and Aubrey Graham, Halifax; aunts and uncles Alvah (Mayme) Wile, Falmouth; Ruth (Mrs. Claire) Redden, Windsor; Jim (Ruth) Wile, Falmouth; June (Jimmie) Shea, Halifax; Eva (Mrs. Bob) Wile, Windsor; Ann (Mrs. Theodore) Wile, Mount Uniacke. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held 6-8 pm Sunday, January 17, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. <br /> <br />The Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm on Monday, January 18, 2016, in the funeral home chapel, with the Reverend Bill Gibson officiating, followed by a reception. <br /> <br />Family flowers only.
