<div itemprop="description">BARKER...... <br> <br>Gerald Graham Barker, age 85, of Martock, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2017, at the Hants Community Hospital, surrounded by his wife and family. <br> <br>Born on April 24, 1931, in Newport Corner, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Aubrey and Jessie (Myles) Barker. <br> <br>Gerald was involved in Forestry most of his life as a woodsman for 25 years, especially known for his firewood. He formerly worked for Burgess Farm Supplies, and later with Mike Oulton’s Farm. He was a former member of the Black Watch, Highlanders Regiment (1957-63). Gerald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather “Bampie” to his children and others. <br> <br>Gerald is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Glenna Maxine Baxter; his children, Valerie Rafuse, Windsor; Gordon (Donna), Ashland Road; Mary (Bill) Kennedy, Auburn; Wanda Moors, Toronto, Ont.; Clarence (Cindy), Redden Road; Ken (Jenny), Ashland Road; Darrell (Jen), Three Mile Plains; Sheryll (Tony), Three Mile Plains; Christopher Baxter, Beaver Bank; 12 grandchildren, Melanie (Scott), Geoffrey, Samantha, Sherry (Ian), Michelle (Allan), Melissa (Mark), Brian (Jessica), Sara (Sheldon), Amber (Christopher), Alex (Carly), Tara, and Kandace; 17 great-grandchildren, Connor, Brandon, Bailey, Riley, Sarah, Michelle, James, Tyler, Emma, Allie, Dawson, Kennedi, Mason, Hudson, Wesley, Bowdrie, and Dakota; numerous nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Gerald was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been predeceased by parents, Aubrey and Jessie (Myles) Barker; grandson, Trevor Barker; son-in-law, Mike Rafuse; brothers, Oscar, Howard, Wesley, Aubrey, and Everett; sisters, Geraldine Parker, Mary Foley, Myrtle Foley-Lynch, Mable Barker. <br> <br>Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. <br> <br>Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 21, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. E. E. Hill officiating. Interment in the Ste.
