<div itemprop="description">ACKROYD...... <br /> <br />Gerald Vernon Ackroyd, age 69, of Hantsport, passed away on Friday, April 11th, 2014, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. <br /> <br />Born in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, on September 7th, 1944, he was the son of the late William and Lillian (Parr) Ackroyd. <br /> <br />Gerry was a machinist by trade. <br /> <br />He is survived by his wife, the former Clarice Hellen Samuel; sons, Arthur, Todd, Trevor, and Gerald; daughter, Denise; brothers, Gary, Halifax; and Roger, Windsor; sisters, Frances Pyett, Windsor; Daisy Wilson, Hantsport; and Barbara Clark, Brooks, Alberta; and his many friends. <br /> <br />Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Eva Lee and by Shirley Joan in infancy; brothers, William &quot;Bill&quot; and George. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place, under the care of Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. <br /> <br />No visitations or funeral service will be held. <br /> <br />Burial will be held at a later date. <br /> <br />To add your condolences, click on &ldquo;Contribute&rdquo; <br /> <br /> <br /></div>
