<div itemprop="description">PEACH...... <br /> <br />Frederick &quot;Fred&quot; Owen Peach, age 77, of Windsor Forks, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. <br /> <br />Born on August 14, 1938, in Windsor Forks, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Owen and Lillian (Williams) Peach. <br /> <br />Fred was employed at Fundy Gypsum Company, for over 43 years, retiring as Heavy equipment mechanic. Fred could always be found in his vegetable garden, off hunting the first deer of the season, fishing or spending time with his family, especially his grandson. <br /> <br />He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty (Lunn) Peach; son, Sandy (Tia) Peach of Windsor Forks; grandson, Nicholas Peach; sister, Gladys (Lawrence) Hogan of Brockville, Ontario; brother, Gordon Peach (Gwen) of Mount Uniacke; several nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />Beside his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Judy Peach (1959); sister, Shirley Hunter; brother, Ken Peach. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place, under the care of the R. D. Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. <br /> <br />A family graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2015, in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, with Mr. Cory Lunn (nephew) officiating, followed by a Celebration of Life reception, 2-4 p.m. at 4256 Highway 14, Windsor Forks. <br /> <br />Special thanks to Dr. Mark Kazimirski and Dr. Timothy Matheson, Hants Community Hospital doctors and nurses, Home Care and the VON. <br /> <br />Donations in memory of Fred may be made to the Cancer Care Nova Scotia or the Hants Community Hospital Foundation. <br /> <br />To add your condolences click on Contribute. <br /></div>
