<div itemprop="description">GRAY...... <br /> <br />Eric &ldquo;Manny&rdquo; James Gray, age 78, of Three Mile Plains, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31st, 2014, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on May 9th, 1936, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary (Clayton) Gray. <br /> <br />Manny was a member of the East Preston United Baptist Church and an active member of the Windsor Plains Baptist Church Choir and Brotherhood. <br /> <br />He retired after twenty five years of service with the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission. <br /> <br />Manny enjoyed a good game of wisk and socializing with family and friends. He was a kind hearted, loving man who was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He cherished his time sitting on his front deck enjoying a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. <br /> <br />He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda (Hamilton) Gray; sister, Geneva Gray, South Carolina; son, Mark (Claudette) Colley, East Preston; daughter, Jocelyn (Norman) Lyon, Oshawa; son, Richard (Leslie) Hamilton, Oromocto, NB; daughters, Tina (Todd) Skeir, Halifax; Denise Porter, Newport Station; Geneva &ldquo;Jackie&rdquo; Gray (Benson), East Preston; Joanne Gray (Kingsley), Dartmouth; Carol Colley (John), Dartmouth; June (David) Howe, Halifax; sons, Wade (Geraldine) Grant, North Preston; Wade (Heather) Colley, East Preston; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Mary Gray; sister, Marion &ldquo;Midgie&rdquo; Glasgow; daughter, Francene Symonds. <br /> <br />Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 6th, 2014, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Windsor. <br /> <br />Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7th, 2014 in the Windsor United Baptist Church, 411 King Street, Windsor, with Rev. Jennifer Riley, assisted by Pastor Perry Hamilton and Rev. Darryl Gray officiating. <br /> <br />Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King Street, Windsor. <br /> <br />Donations in Eric&rsquo;s memory may be made to Windsor Plains Baptist Church: c/o Darcell Cromwell, 197 Old Halifax Road West, R.R. 2, Site 5, Box 2, Windsor, N.S.
