Elizabeth Louise “Betty” Boyd, age 86, of Three Mile Plains, Hants County, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor.
Born on March 10, 1930 in Garlands Crossing, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dora (Brown) MacDonald.
Betty and Clarence enjoyed going to the horse shows. She enjoyed her family and was well known for her baking which many family and community members enjoyed.
Surviving are daughters, Dianne Boyd, Dartmouth; Elaine Boyd (Garry Darris), New Minas; Doralee (David) Amos, East Lawrencetown; daughter-in-law, Christine Burbidge-Boyd, Lacombe, Alberta; grandchildren, Kimberley, Kelly, Kandace, Paul, Elizabeth, and Darcy; great grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Max, Sawyer, Nathaniel, Heidi, Clara, Ethan, Breah, Elaina, and Haidyn; sisters, Carole Greeno, Garlands Crossing; Phyllis (Neil) Sharp, Thorold, Ontario; sister-in-law, Eva MacDonald, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews; special family member, Dan Boyd.
Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Clarence “Obe” (September 3, 2014); sons, Wayne and Stephen; brother, Joseph “Joe or Grady”; sisters, Leona Maxmenko, Ruby Kehoe and Darryle Shay.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016 in Windsor Forks Community Cemetery. Celebrant Helen Lindsay officiating.
