<div itemprop="description">DeVENNEY...... <br /> <br />Doreen Elaine DeVenney, age 77, of Windsor Forks, Hants County, died Monday, May 25, 2015, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by her family. <br /> <br />Born on December 16, 1937, in Three Mile Plains, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Earle and Iva (Crossley) MacDonald. <br /> <br />Doreen and Bob married in 1956 and have spent all their married life on the DeVenney Farm, Windsor Forks. She had formerly worked at the Nova Scotia Textile and also the Masonic Home, Windsor. Doreen was a past member of St. Michael&rsquo;s Anglican Church Guild and also the Martock/Windsor Forks Women&rsquo;s Institute until poor health. <br /> <br />Doreen is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert &ldquo;Bob&rdquo; Ledsome DeVenney; and her sons, Robert Wayne, Harley William, and Richard Earle, all of Windsor Forks; her siblings, Margery (Lawrence) Kehoe; Robert (Val) MacDonald; and Michael (Mary Ruth) MacDonald, all of Three Mile Plains; Jo-Anne (Gary) Church, Bramber; she is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Nancy MacInnes, Summerland, British Columbia; Donna DeVenney, Windsor Forks; Emma DeVenney, Martock; brother-in-law, Jim (Anna) DeVenney, Vaughans; many nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />She was predeceased by her parents, Earle Kenneth MacDonald and Iva Maude (Crossley) MacDonald; her sister, Judy in infancy; a brother, Kenneth; sister-in-law, Patricia (Robie) Maxner; and brothers-in-law, Phillip DeVenney, John DeVenney and Alan DeVenney. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home, (902-798-2232) 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0, where visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 29. <br /> <br />Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. A reception will be held in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre, followed by interment at the Redden Valley Cemetery, Windsor Forks. <br /> <br />Donations in memory of Doreen may be made to the Redden Valley Cemetery (c/o Bob DeVenney), or to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice. <br /> <br />( To add your condolences, click on Contribute ) <br /></div>
