Donna Marie Vidito,
of Brighton, Digby
June 23, 1944
February 24, 2017

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Donna Marie Vidito, age 72, who passed away in the peacefulness of her sleep on Friday, February 24th 2017.

Donna is predeceased by her husband Nelson; mother, Eva; father, Carey; sister, Louise.

She was an amazing mother to daughter, Dawn (Lionel); sons, Nelson (Melanie), Shawn (Amanda), and Bertram.

Donna had many grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply, Isabella, Mya, Ashley, Kyle, B.J., Zachary, Cavin, Amber, Dustin, Gunner, Jinaya, Kiawna, Nakita, Chance, Jake, Niko, Spencer, and Luca.

She is also survived by sister, Marilyn, Annapolis; brothers, Laurie (Marilyn); Leonard (Nan); and Marcel, Alberta; also by her best friend, Dalli Ogilvie.

Donna lived a happy life with her husband Nelson, in Brighton. They were married on August 9th 1974 at the United Baptist Church in Digby. Donna started work at the Digby General Hospital, laundry dept, when she was just a teenager and stayed until she retired at the age of 53. When she had her boys, they enjoyed camping the most! They were actively involved in the CB club and were known as Mama Bear and Papa Bear. Growing older, Donna took wonderful care of her husband in his last years of life. And enjoyed any moments she could get with her grandchildren. 2 years ago, she entered a very loving nursing home and was well taken care of as her dementia and kidney disease took over her life. But not at a single moment did she lose the smile on her face or the laughter in her heart. She will forever be remembered as the most loving and happy person we've ever had in our lives. Her and Nelson are now in heaven, looking over us all.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 4th 2017, at the United Baptist Church of Digby, corner of Mount Street and Montague Row, Digby, with the Rev. Jeff White officiating.

To add your condolences, click on "Contribute".
