<div itemprop="description">&nbsp; <p> <b> <u> JOHNSON <br /> <br /> <br /> </u> </b> <b> Atwood Ernest Johnson </b> , age 88, of Hants Border, Kings County, passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2013, at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax. <br /> <br /> Atwood was born in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, on October 30, 1924, he was the son of the late Orrin and Marjorie (Mitchell) Johnson.&nbsp; <br /> <br /> Atwood served in the RCAF during World War II. He was an entrepreneur and spent the majority of his life self-employed owning and operating several businesses. <br /> <br /> Atwood is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlotte (Maynard); beloved sons, Byron and Mark; cherished daughters-in-law, Susan and Michelle; grandsons, Ian (Jemma), Warren, Justin and Nathan; granddaughters, Claire (Jonathan) Crossley and Molly; great-grandchildren, Neva Johnson and Owen Crossley. He is also survived by brothers, Orrin (Barbara), Eric (Betty), Gary (Hazel); sisters, Dorothy (Victor) Page, Marion (Donald) Lane,&nbsp; Kathleen (Graham) Greenough, Ann (Chuck) Beckerleg; and many nieces and nephews. <br /> <br /> He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Faith Elaine; brother, Phillip and sister, Janet Campbell. <br /> <br /> There will be no visitation. <br /> <br /> A service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 19th, 2013, at St. Andrew&rsquo;s Anglican Church, Hantsport, with a reception immediately following at the church hall. The Rev. Tom Henderson is officiating and interment will be held at a later date in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Centre Rawdon, Hants County. <br /> <br /> </p> <p> Family flowers only.
