<div itemprop="description">KEATING...... <br /> <br />Aloysius &ldquo;Al&rdquo; Jerome Keating , age 77, of Newport Corner, Hants County, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on October 12, 1937 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hilda (Bellefontaine) Keating. <br /> <br />Al served in the military for twenty five years. After his retirement he worked in the Newport area. He enjoyed woodworking, curling, hockey, fastball, hunting and fishing, volunteering with scouts, officiating and coaching various sports. He was a proud honorary Newfoundlander. <br /> <br />Surviving are his children, Robert Keating and wife, Katrina Stevens, Battersea, Ontario; Karen Keating, Newport Corner; Michael (Tamara) Keating, Newport Corner; grandchildren, Nikolas, Jessica, Shane, Kelsey, and Brodie; brothers, Walter Keating, Kelowna, British Columbia, Cyril (Mabel) Keating, Pickering, Ontario; sisters, Rose Mary &ldquo; Rosie&rdquo; Feader, Chester; Lorraine Keating, Dartmouth; a multitude of nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />Besides his parents, Al was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Rose Keating (2013); sisters, Rita Brown; Elva Keating; son-in-law, Dave Harvey. <br /> <br />A memorial service will be held at 11 am. Saturday, December 20, 2014, in Lindsay&rsquo;s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King Street, Windsor.
