<div itemprop="description">PARSONS...... <br> <br>Allan Victor Parsons, age 78, of Upper Falmouth, Hants County, passed away at home on Saturday, November 12, 2016, after a brief illness. <br> <br>Alan was a member of the Army Reserves in Windsor for his teenage years. As a young man, he loved hockey and golf. Alan played goalie for the Windsor Maple Leafs through the mid and late 50s. He was an honorary member of the Boston Bruins when they played an exhibition game in Windsor, Allan stepped up to the net. Allan was also well known for his home, the concrete dome, which he designed and built in the 70’s. <br> <br>Allan loved being close to the land and spent his days in the woods, fishing, and working with his mill. He also enjoyed photography, beer and wine making. He was very creative and produced art works by his skill in welding and woodworking. He was a proud parent and loved of all the children who called him Dad. Next to his family his greatest love was his German Sheppard’s. You would see him coming down the road with both dogs, their heads out the windows of the Landcruiser. It made you smile as he was never alone. His dogs were always at his side with unconditional love. <br> <br>Allan is survived by his (former wife, Judy Oulton-Parsons); children, Vicki Parsons-Watt (Steve) of Calgary; Peter Stephen Parsons, Windsor Forks (Kelly Souva); Lara Parsons (Derek Hume) of Chester Basin; sisters, Rosanne Wentzell of Three Mile Plains, and Peggy Harris (Gordon) of Berwick; grandchildren, Caitlin Jane Parsons and Dylan Watt of Calgary; Morgan Parsons of Windsor; Lyndsey and Cole Parsons of Windsor Forks; Silas and Lila Hume of Chester Basin. Allan is also survived by 2 great grandchildren; 7 nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Allan was predeceased by his son Bradford; parents, Stella and Ralph Parsons. <br> <br>Allan’s energy, enthusiasm, upbeat spirit and love of life will be sorely missed. <br> <br>Allan’s family would like to thank Robin Trebenski, for her care and consideration of their father. <br> <br>Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2016, in the Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home Chapel (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, P.O.
